From cosy Classic Rooms to spacious Superior Rooms and our Junior Suite, Fernhill offers a relaxing base for exploring Portpatrick and Dumfries & Galloway. Many bedrooms enjoy views over the village, harbour and Irish Sea, while our Superior Sea View Balcony Rooms offer their own outdoor space to enjoy the coastal setting.
Dogs are welcome in all bedrooms for a charge of £10 per dog, per night.

Cottage Annexe Rooms
Situated next to the main hotel, the Cottage Annexe has a sunny entrance porch and four small twin bedrooms. Together, these rooms accommodate groups of up to eight guests, making them a convenient option for golfing groups.
Classic Sea View Rooms
Located in the original Victorian part of the hotel, these comfortably appointed, front-facing bedrooms enjoy sea views.
Superior Sea View Balcony Rooms
These spacious bedrooms are on the lower ground floor of the hotel’s newer accommodation wing. Each has relaxing armchairs and a balcony area overlooking Portpatrick Harbour and the Irish Sea.
The Superior Twin Sea View Balcony room has two single beds.
Superior Sea View Rooms

Superior Double or Twin rooms have zip-and-link beds, allowing a double or twin arrangement. Please contact the hotel to confirm your preferred bed configuration.
Most Superior Sea View Rooms are on the ground floor. Two are in the original house on the lower ground floor and are accessed by stairs.
Junior Suite
Our spacious Junior Suite is on the ground floor of the original Victorian part of the hotel. Enjoy views over Portpatrick Harbour and the Irish Sea, with relaxing armchairs providing a comfortable place to unwind.
