Christmas Eve

Your Christmas escape begins on 24th December, with a warm welcome of Champagne and cream tea before easing into the festivities with a seven-course tasting menu, thoughtfully created by Head Chef Paul Blakey.

As evening falls, join us for a lantern-lit walk through Alnwick’s quiet streets to Midnight Mass at St Michael’s. On your return, warm mince pies and hot toddies will be waiting by the fire, bringing Christmas Eve to a cosy close.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning begins at a relaxed pace, with a leisurely breakfast and plenty of time to savour the day ahead. Later, gather for elegant canapés before sitting down to a showstopping Christmas lunch, accompanied by live music to set the festive mood.

As the evening draws in, settle into the Garden Room or Motte & Bailey for a relaxed supper of artisan charcuterie, perfectly paired with a local tipple from Ad Gefrin in nearby Wooler.

Boxing Day

On Boxing Day morning, take your time. Choose breakfast in bed or join us downstairs, where the fire is lit and freshly brewed coffee awaits. When it is time to leave, our team will bring your car to the door, take care of your luggage and send you on your way after a wonderfully relaxed Christmas at Bailiffgate.

Spend the day embracing the slower rhythm of Northumberland, perhaps with a peaceful winter walk along Alnmouth Beach or a gentle wander through Alnwick. Your evening meal is included, giving you one final night to relax and make the most of your festive stay.

27th December

After breakfast the following morning, when it is time to leave, our team will bring your car to the door, take care of your luggage and send you on your way after a wonderfully relaxed Christmas at Bailiffgate.

New Year 2 Night Break

Your New Year escape begins with a warm welcome to Bailiffgate Hotel before dressing for an elegant black-tie dinner in Motte & Bailey. Head Chef Paul Blakey has created a thoughtfully curated tasting menu for the occasion, with an optional inclusive wine package available to complement each course.

Live music will provide the soundtrack to the evening, carrying you from dinner through to the countdown. As midnight arrives, raise a glass of Champagne and welcome the New Year together in the heart of Alnwick.

On New Year’s Day, there is no need to rush. Ease into the morning with brunch served until 1pm, before spending the afternoon at your own pace. Perhaps take a winter stroll around Alnwick or visit The Alnwick Garden, with entry included as part of your stay.

For guests joining us for two nights, dinner on New Year’s Day is also included, giving you one final evening to settle in, savour exceptional food and make the most of a wonderfully relaxed start to the year.
