About Us

Bespoke Hotels is a mid-size, independent hotel management company. We own a small number of hotels and partner with an ever-increasing number. Every agreement we have is Bespoke by name, and bespoke by nature.

The group was founded in 2000, by Haydn Fentum and Robin Sheppard and has consistently grown to the point where we now manage over 6,500 hotel rooms, 3,000 employees and £500 million of assets.

We optimise operational performance.

At one end of the spectrum, we have conceived brand new hotels and restaurants from scratch – such as Hotel Brooklyn, The Bermondsey Square Hotel, Hotel Gotham and the Telegraph Hotel. But we have also supported hundreds of hotels with a broad range of operational projects, encompassing sales, marketing, finance, purchasing, HR, training.

We genuinely believe that – with the experience, expertise and network of professionals we have acquired across 20 years and close to a thousand hotel projects – we can add value to any hotel.

How to organise the efforts of the team, how to anticipate operational issues and plan costs effectively and accurately? These are regular daily tasks in which we have vast experience. We can lead where appropriate or delegate when this is more effective, in ways designed to control and optimise overall performance.


Human Resources and Training

Whether it is for recruitment, head-hunting or staff training, our HR resource specialises 100% in the hospitality industry, helping to motivate and develop your people. We can run focused courses in specific aspects of hotel management, using our own senior management. Or we can build individual career development packages for all of your staff.

A single hotel can never purchase as effectively as one within a group. Buying power, group discounts, forensic cost evaluation and reviews of best practice will improve your business.

Our Accessibility Charter

Whilst we cannot control every single aspect of every building and hotel, we aspire to and encourage any property under the Bespoke Hotels umbrella to deliver the very highest standards in every aspect of the guest experience. And that extends to every, single guest.

And so we have drawn up both a charter and a check-list. We ask each of our hotels to fulfil as many of the points on the check-list as is practicably possible, and to commit to an action plan to address any shortcomings.

When building and opening new hotels we aspire to meet every single point of the charter.

The charter is simple. We want every guest of Bespoke Hotels to feel welcome and valued – through sympathetic design, helpful features and the training and attitude of people.

The check-list is more extensive, and comprises ‘mandatory’ requirements, which generally speaking conform to the Equalities Act of 2010, and ‘Liberty’ standards. Hotels that address a high proportion of these additional requirements and standards may be designated a Bespoke Hotels ‘Liberty’ compliant property.

 We have worked closely with Blue Badge Style to develop this accessibility charter and our Liberty standards.
