Nestled within the tranquil embrace of Exmoor National Park, Heddon Valley Campsite offers a serene escape into nature’s embrace.

Welcome to the wilderness campsite in the heart of Heddon Valley. This simple campsite is in a large meadow, 500m x 70m, running to the west of the Heddon River with direct access to a footpath that leads down to the sea.

There is no vehicle access into the camping meadow, although you can unload kit at the entrance. Parking is in the main Heddon Valley National Trust car park, a 200m walk away.

Toilets are located opposite the main car park and are shared with Heddon Valley day visitors. A tap for drinking water is in the meadow. There are no showers.

The site is kept as natural as possible as it is a popular spot for butterflies and wildflowers. The rangers mow simple pitches into the meadow, so you blend in with your flora and fauna neighbours.
Simply choose a pitch, set up camp and relax. It is a treat for the senses with a woodland full of birds, a view of the towering cliffs in the distance and the sound of the river and surf.

Non-electric tent pitch £15
