ONE OF ENGLAND’S MOST STORIED COACHING INNS
“Creaking staircases, wooden beams and Battle of Trafalgar drawings are a reminder of the hotel’s historic origins, but it’s the warm velour furnishings in the bedrooms, smart grey-green décor, floor-to-ceiling windows and stylish bookcases with homely artefacts in the restaurant that provide a 21st-century country-house feel.”

From its location in the heart of idyllic Surrey, The Talbot has for centuries played its part in history. Said to have provided the stage for Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton’s love affair to blossom in 1798, it has remained one of England’s finest coaching inns throughout its 500 year history.
Retaining many impressive historic features, alongside the benefits of an extensive recent refurbishment, The Talbot is relaxed and welcoming, with a cosy bar, open fires, real ales, and outstanding food served beneath a stunning copper ceiling and looking out across the summer terrace and garden.
The Talbot boasts 43 stylish and contemporary bedrooms, plus expansive meeting, wedding and conference facilities for up to 120 guests.
The Talbot is an ideal base from which to explore the South East of England. Conveniently located on Ripley High Street, it is just 30 minutes from Central London and 20 minutes from both Heathrow and Gatwick International Airports.
