Gylen Castle on the Isle of Kerrera, a short ferry trip from Gallanach 2.5 Miles
A beautiful spot overlooking the Firth of Lorn. The Kerrera ferry leaves from Gallanach, and is then a 3-mile walk across the island.
Glencruitten Golf Club 1 Mile
18-hole course in wonderful Scottish landscapes, as well as a warm welcome for visitors, practice area with driving bays and putting green, clubhouse, lounge bar, restaurant and golf shop.
McCaig’s Tower 1 Mile
Prominently visible on Battery Hill overlooking Oban, this huge circular structure is a magnificent ‘folly’, but a simple, beautiful stone structure and a wonderful viewing point from which to survey Oban and the loch.

Take a day trip to any one of the many islands off the western shore – Arran, Barra, Benbecula, Bute, Eriskay, Iona, Islay, Mull, Skye amongst them. All of the islands have their own charm – with wonderful, white beaches, distilleries and monumnents.
