Northumberland
Set to open in the Spring of 2024, Bailiffgate Hotel is a new addition to our collection of North East hotels. The hotel itself is housed in what was previously the Duchess High School. The building is currently undergoing a full renovation to transform it into the ultimate escape for visitors wanting to explore Alnwick, Northumberland.
The new Bailiffgate Hotel is brilliantly located for day trips and exploring the local area. The hotel overlooks the Barbican entrance to Alnwick Castle, in the heart of the town of Alnwick.
There will be 48 bedrooms for guests to choose from, including both suites and apartments suitable for larger groups or those looking for a real home-from-home. The hotel will also feature its own bar, along with a restaurant and private dining room.
The George Hotel is another great place to stay in Northumberland. Like many hotels in this area, it’s hundreds of years old and truly stunning. The stone building dates back to the 18th century and is located in prime position on the North Tyne River, not far from a popular walking route for Hadrian’s Wall.
